Ohio State National Champion Football Player, Russell Doup, Visits Resident at Country View
December 1, 2022
Our staff members here at Country View try their best to make wishes become a reality for our residents. One resident, in particular, has been a die-hard OSU fan since day one, so we surprised him with a special visit. We welcomed an Ohio State National Champion football player, Russell Doup, to Country View to see Paul and drop off some gifts.
Russell Doup played for OSU from 2010 to 2014. He started out as a punter, went to safety, and ended his football career as a long snapper. Russell went to the Fisher College of Business and is now a CFP of his local business here in New Albany, Ohio.

Paul was so excited to meet Russel expressing,
"It was one of the best days I've had since I got here. Russell is an intelligent young man and is very nice. He even brought me OSU gifts, which I could not turn down. I was hoping he would leave me his jersey but maybe next time. I am very thankful he took time out of his day to come spend time with me. The items he gave me, I will treasure them forever. Russell taught me that you can always try new things. He did not play football until his senior year of high school, which ended up with him playing for the Ohio State Buckeyes. Thank you so much, Russell."
We reached out to Russell to hear what he had to say about his visit with Paul, and he shared,
"I am very blessed to have had the opportunity to play football at The Ohio State University and be a part of a national championship. I understand that I got to do something that very few people ever get to experience, so when I get the opportunity to share a piece of that with someone, I love the opportunity to connect and share something so special. Especially when they're a big Buckeye fan like Paul is."
A big thank you goes out to Russel for stopping by to make Paul's day. This will be a day that all of us at Country View will never forget.
