Celebrating Our Activity Team

In honor of National Activities Professional's Week, we wanted to highlight our awesome Activities Department at Country View of Sunbury! Thanks to Sandy and her team of activity professionals, our residents get to engage in much more than just Bingo. Our activity programs are resident-centered, meeting individualized needs, keeping residents constantly engaged, and, most importantly, helping to improve their overall quality of life.
“I started at Country View in April of 2008 as an STNA. I worked in that position for less than a year before transitioning to an Activities Aide, working on the Dementia unit for 11 1/2 years. After that, I become the Activities Director. I love the residents and try to keep them busy and happy. Parties for them are my favorite! The minute I walked into Country View, it felt like home. It is a wonderful place! I feel truly blessed to be here!”

"I have been in healthcare for over 35 years as an STNA, Rehab Assistant, Social Services and Activities. I chose activities in long-term care as my choice of career because I love what I do. Every day, I have a smile on my face. I am known for doing a good job and keeping smiles on the residents' faces.”
“I’ve been working at Country View for about a year. I wanted to be in activities because I love spending one-on-one time with the residents and helping them not feel alone. I love working on the floor as an Aide because you can see the joy it brings each resident when it comes to crafts, singing or even exercising with them."
