Celebrating Medical Records Week

In honor of Medical Records Week, we are shining our spotlight on Heather Arbaugh and her healthcare journey at Country View. Get to know more about Heather!

"On May 18th, 2023, I will have been here for seven years. I started here as an STNA for two years, then after an injury, I had to give up that position, but I didn't want to leave this place or my work family. I just loved our residents and what I did, so I took the position of Business Office Assistant, which helped me learn more about the office side of healthcare. This role consisted of answering phones, billing, insurance, STNA scheduling, and helping out our Medical Records Director and Central Supply at that time. Once Covid hit, I found myself doing a lot of swabbing, checking temperatures, and keeping things clean and safe for staff, guests, and residents.

I finally got the opportunity to move to Medical Records, and I took it. I love this organization and knowing the importance of what I do makes a difference. It also helps our STNAs, Nurses and Medical professionals give our residents the best care, both at the facility and wherever they go when they leave. I'm happy to be here in this position because it helps keep me get close to the residents so I still have that connection with them. I'm grateful to be able to talk with them about their days, family, or whatever else they want to talk about, and best of all, I'm grateful for the hugs, high fives, and holding hands when wanted and needed.

I plan to be here until I retire, then I would love to travel more with my family so someday I will have all those exciting memories to share too!"
